Philosophy:

My role as a tutor, I feel, encompasses a variety of responsibilities.  I am regarded as a supportive, trusting adult who works with a student to help him / her succeed without the student feeling controlled.  In assisting the students with their schoolwork, test prep and / or college applications, my goal is to increase their self-confidence, so they become a strong self-advocate.  While I loved teaching in the classroom, the one-on-one relationships which I develop with my students is very powerful and can help lead to confidence and success.  Learning to succeed is my goal for each and everyone of my students.
